If a local authority wishes to book your property, they will firstly need to reserve it. It can be reserved for up to seven days to allow them to review all the details of the property and then confirm the booking.
You will be alerted if there are any new bookings or rate negotiations, where you'll be able to accept, negotiate or reject the rate. You'll only be able to action accordingly if the council starts the negotiation.
Accept the proposed rate
To accept an offer follow these simple steps:
Click on the magnifying glass icon, on the top right.
Search the booking number and click into the booking.
Within the details tab, go to the rates section and click the link, Click here to review.

Once you have completed the acceptance process, the booking status will change to active.

Click on the magnifying glass icon, on the top right.

Within the details tab, go to the rates section and click the link, Click here to review.
Amend the rate to a higher amount than the proposed value. Split the cost between the non-vatable and vatable costs.

Reject the proposed rate
If you don't wish to accept the proposed price by the local authority, you can click the Reject & Close Negotiation button. This will end the current negotiation and the price on the booking will not change.
The property will still remain reserved with the council, giving the council the opportunity to still continue with the booking at the price you have entered on the listing.
